Software Quality Engineer (Full Time)

Job Description

  • Design, specify and build comprehensive software and hardware quality process and tools
  • Analyze quality data and process to creatively update and improve development process
  • Plan and implement automation of manual testing
  • Create and maintain test audit-trail process and tools when necessary
  • Create and communicate development schedules and updates
  • Create and update design documents and verification test plans
  • Perform manual testing and approval process of software and hardware products when necessary
  • Manage workload across multiple simultaneous development projects

Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with strong CS experience is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience as a Software Quality Engineer.
  • Experience with test/quality standards such as ISO9001 or other industry testing standards
  • Proficiency in C, C++, assembly language
  • Basic understanding of database principles and design
  • Experience with web-based programming (php, apache, html, etc..) a plus
  • Ability to creatively use and adapt various existing software to meet current needs
  • Must be detail oriented and self motivated.
  • Good written and verbal English communication skills
  • Excellent planning, organizing, and project coordination skills.

Software Quality Assurance (Full Time)

Job Description

  • Create design qualification test plans
  • Track failure analysis and root cause trends in returned products
  • Direct the testing and report generation for FCC and CE compliance activities
  • Create MTBF data for new and existing product assemblies
  • Work with Contract Manufacturing engineers to resolve production quality issues as they arise
  • Manage new component review and approval process
  • Lead supplier qualification activities for components and PCBs
  • Work with component suppliers to resolve quality issues as they arise
  • Define and document standard development processes
  • Implement processes to gain ISO 9001 certification within the EPS business unit
  • Manage workload across multiple simultaneous development projects

Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering discipline is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience with quality assurance engineering on electronic assemblies
  • Experience writing design qualification test plans for electronic assemblies
  • Experience creating and documenting process plans for a design engineering group
  • Experience implementing an ISO 9001 certification plan
  • Experience leading compliance certification activities for FCC, CE and UL
  • Experience with the process quality aspects of SMT manufacturing is desired
  • Experience performing hands-on qualification testing of embedded processor assemblies is highly desired.

Quality Assurance Performance Testing (Contract to Hire)

Basic Qualifications
Minimum of 4 years of experience with:

  • Formal performance software testing experience
  • Knowledge of computer network
  • Networking hardware
  • Internet
  • Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle
  • Mercury Load Runner
  • SQL
  • C++ language

Desired/Preferred Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years experience:

Quality Assurance Lead (Full Time)

Job Description
The QA Lead, working in close conjunction with the business owner, business user, Data Integration, Quality and Release, Data Delivery team members, and the Process Analyst, is responsible for overseeing and providing direction to QA (Quality Assurance) testers. The QA Lead insures that the tasks performed as part of the quality assurance testing clearly verifies the functionality of the product against use cases and traceability matrices following established processes, procedures, and standards.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop, in collaboration with IM and business associates, system test plans that are encompassing, resource efficient, and meet all the functional and operational requirements
  • Oversees the test team in conducting regression, integration, and end-to-end test cycles required to confirm all data validations, business rules, requirement matrices, control and balance processes, suspense recycle functionality as well as reporting accuracy
  • Develop, in conjunction with the Process Analyst, thorough unit testing and approval processes too maximize regression, integration, and end-to-end testing processes
  • Coordinate with the business users in establishing a UAT (User Acceptance Test) plan that verifies all functionality, data accuracy/quality, and performance requirements to achieve business sign off
  • Develop, in collaboration with Quality & Release management, release strategies, plans, and deliverables
  • First level responder for UAT issue resolution thru the coordinating of resources from within IT to resolve and regression test the solutions
  • Regularly provides concise and informative communication on the overall status of integration and end-to-end testing to both IM and the business units
  • Provide guidance, direction and support to the test team in the process of testing and achieving desired results in line with project timelines
  • Reviews and approves, in conjunction with the Process Analyst, the system and user acceptance test processes and deliverables

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+years as a quality assurance tester in the Information Management / Business Intelligence domain in the pharmaceutical or other health care industry
  • 2+ years as an quality assurance QA Lead in the Information Management / Business Intelligence domain in the pharmaceutical or other health care industry
  • 2+ years experience in a Help Desk or business technical support function
  • Ability to dialogue clearly and effectively with business, IT stakeholders, testers, and developers to gain understanding and resolution
  • Ability to quickly work through opposing views and reach clarity of understanding
  • Proven ability to document thoroughly
  • Self-learner and ability to work independently.

Senior Software Quality Assurance Lead Analyst (Full Time)

Job Description
The Senior Software Quality Assurance Lead Analyst is responsible for the definition, management and execution of test strategies. They will work closely with product management, project management and development to ensure a quality product gets released to market. The product under test is a next generation automated test system. Most of the actual testing will be manual but test automation experience is required.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute Test Strategy for product development including: Test plan and procedure development based on requirements documents and design specifications, Risk analysis, Test result analysis and documentation.
  • Oversee the creation and execution of Test Scenarios
  • Mentor junior testers on test methodologies and execution
  • Create and maintain test automation suites
  • Issue Troubleshooting
  • Write Software bugs and report.
  • Review Requirements and Design

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software testing experience
  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related discipline is required
  • Experience in a product development or engineering environment
  • Must be familiar with hands on testing of data bases
  • Experience with SQL 2005 (backup, restore, basic queries)
  • Experience in software test automation
  • Experience using .NET 2.0 tools
  • Experience in the Mobile and Wireless industry a plus (specifically mobile devices)
  • Experience using Microsoft Access and Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
